‘Improvisation means listening for and responding to soundsand energies from a space of deep
focus.
Starting from silence, then an initial cell, everything develops from there.
Honesty is key – to listen and share rather than pre-pare on my instrument – I explore the palettes of
sound inside a piano as much as the sonic possibilities on the keys.
O strive for an ever-evolving range olf expression, informed by life experience, letting the moment 
decide what the next moment will bring’.

‘Alle kunst is gedrag en daarbinnen neemt de improvisatie een bijzondere plaats in
vanwege het onmiddellijke karakter dat het associatieve samenspel kenmerkt. 
Improvisatoren zijn meesters van de coincidentie, in het samen optrekken van een vluchtig
klankgebouw zonder architect of bouwplan en zonder instructies vooraf.
Lida Brouskari en Thomas Japsers zijn aanstormende talenten die zich thuisvoelen in deze fluide
