‘I have played well over 200 solo concerts over the course of the past ten years. Inevitably I have a vocabulary I repeat, and operate within a set of formal concepts. I like juxtaposing minimal material with maximal material, long drones followed by dense flourishes, loud and quiet, dense and sparse. However, I really try to start each set with a completely open mind about what will happen, and not try to allow the burden of memory interfere with my present feeling within the room. In this way, I usually manage to discover something new every solo set. I dont do this out of some adherence to some principle, because I believe in the virtues of spontaneity. In fact it would be a lot easier if I had some set solo that I repeated.
However, for some reason , if I don’t actually live the process of discovering in front of the
audience during the performance, it feels flat and stale to me. If I fail to throw myself off that proverbial cliff, and try to make something new happen and climb back up, somehow it just doesn’t work for me’ – Chris Pitsiokos

‘Normaliter speelt ‘Changing Landscapes’ een combi van eigen kamer-groove-stukken - met veel improvisatie ruimte – maar op deze avond zullen Pau, Oene en Phillipp volledig in hetdiepe duiken en vrij improviseren. Wat er te verwachten valt? Geen idee! De smaak van de drie heren is nogal breed: van mooie songs tot avant-gardistische noise-metal tot spectrale klanksculpturen. Alles is welkom en wordt omarmd. Wat sowieso wel te verwachten is zijn drie oudere jongeren die op het puntje van hun stoel samenspelen om dan bij tijd en wijle te ontaarden in een wilde stoelen dans’ – Oene van Geel
