Don't miss this this farewell celebration, featuring soul-stirring violin sonatas by Leos Janacek and Maurice Ravel.
Natálie Kulina is a Czech violinist and maker focusing mainly on contemporary music, multidisciplinary work and innovative concert practices. She is a Rizoom network member, under which she develops theatrical installation performances. She is also a member of Ensemble Resilience, an innovative music collective, and has performed in venues and festivals such as Muziekgebouw aan't IJ, Concertgebouw, Gaudeamus, Tivoli Vredenburg and De Doelen, among many others. As a soloist in a more classical realm, she has played with symphonic orchestras such as Brno Philharmonic, Orquesta Sinfonica Tenerife and Ensemble Vigo 430. She currently serves as a concert master with the Doelen Ensemble in Rotterdam.
Paolo Gorini In the early days of his life, he experienced something exceptional by pressing 'Play' on his parents' stereo. The music of Chopin's first ballade: goosebumps danced on my skin, sending shivers down my spine. That is what he had to do in his life. His quest sprinted him from Brescia to Milan and, finally, to Amsterdam. Exploring beyond the piano and mentored by Mauro Montalbetti, his music feeds from progressive rock, avant-garde artists and sound design technologies. Significant projects include Duo Ebano, Ensemble Resilience and the song cycle “Night (e)scape" in collaboration with soprano Elisabeth Hetherington.
His dream is to recreate and share that first otherworldly moment, and he holds on to his grandfather's wise words: "To make music, you need the three Ps — passion, patience, and perseverance."
